Created by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec the Zip Rug provides an easy way to re-configure the colors or patterns of the rug whenever you feel like a change is in order. The carpets are made of smaller ‘modules’ that are connected by zippers on their longer sides. The flexibility of this design also allows the rug to be extended for larger rooms or even split up into smaller sections.
The Zip Rug modules are available in orange, green, light brown or dark brown and the ordering process allows you to select any combination of colors you’d like. And while change might be good it’s apparently not cheap. A set of 4 Zip Rig modules runs $915.
