I’m a gamer that plays on all of the current-gen consoles. However, I’m still more partial to my PC for most games. Unfortunately it’s the most expensive to keep up with, since I’m usually purchasing some sort of upgrade every few months. Of course that makes it all the more fun to show off. That’s why I usually have a really nice case with a clear side and maybe a light or two to showcase my components. That’s just something you don’t really see with consoles. There are a few cases on the market, but none that I’ve ever really thought would be worth the purchase. However, the new XCM Black Light Chameleon Case looks pretty tempting.

This new case replaces the current one housing your Xbox 360. Yes, that means you’ll actually have to remove it, but they claim that the entire process only takes about 10-15 minutes. In the end you’ll have a completely black case with a nice clear window. A set of LED lights can be configured to shine in one of 7 different colors, or to cycle through them. You’ll also get an illuminated fan shroud replacement. This $90 case is only going to work on HDMI-equipped 360’s, so you’ll need to keep that in mind. The price is a bit salty, but if you really want your favorite console to stand out, this is certain to do just that.

  1. This is certainly cool and the best part of it is you can actually DIY. But just one warning though. modding always have a risk to void a warranty or break something if you don't be careful. So make sure to pay extra attention on your stuff! 🙂
