Vanity aside, a mirror's a very useful tool to have around (especially for the signaling mentioned in the article). Though I'm hesitant to believe that this version could be used in fire starting.
…or just use your smartphone's front facing camera.
I could see this being used on a top secret mission to look around corners… or am just over looking this tiny mirror
