Walit Illuminating Wallet (Image courtesy GadgetStorm)By Andrew Liszewski

I stopped carrying a wallet in the ‘miniature filing cabinet’ sense of the word many years ago and haven’t looked back. For those who still feel the need to carry every single credit card, business card, membership card and whatever else in their wallets there’s at least a high-tech option for you.

The Walit uses an electroluminescent strip on the inside of the wallet’s large pocket theoretically making it easier to distinguish a receipt from actual cash when you’re digging around at night. The illuminating strip is powered by 4 replaceable watch batteries and the wallet itself is made of ‘sexy’ leather as the website puts it.

The Walit is currently available from GadgetStorm.com for ?14.95.

  1. Walit Illuminating Wallet…

We don’t know how old this is, but after accidentally giving that woman—we think it was a woman—three hundred-dollar bills instead of three twenties because it was so damn dark, we thought you readers could find a use for this……

  2. dont bother with this unless you like tacky stuff that works for a day and then breaks. the wallet itself is a tad on the big side and the batteries it needs (4 BIG watch batteries) are just stupidly large, sure this could have been reduced inside just by putting in a better battery..anyway..this alone fills the wallet up too much, not cool. and yes the light broke after a day…wud rather have my 15 pound back to put in my old wallet.
