If you’re an artist type with a laptop, there’s a good chance that laptop is a widescreen version. Seems artists are just funny that way. I’ve also heard that many, if not all, graphics tablets are more of a square-ish sort of deal, making them at least marginally impractical to use with widescreen notebooks. Well, now Wacom is releasing its first widescreen tablet: the Intuos3 A5.

It features 1,024 levels of sensitivity and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a relatively small 8″ by 6″ footprint, making it easier to carry around in your laptop bag. And it’ll set you back a cool $420. Check out the product page. Story VIA TUAW.
