usb humping dog

By David Ponce

Though we would probably end up wanting to smash it to little bits after about ten seconds, this “Humping Dog” USB flash drive can make a hell of a Christmas present. At least to your friends with half a sense of humor. It’s simply a USB drive, in the shape of a dog, that humps your latop as soon as it’s plugged in. It doesn’t stop humping, well, ever, so its mechanical whirring gets a little irritating. But hell, it’s humping your laptop, so who cares, right?

Now, unlike most of the other gadget blogs that already covered this lovely pooch, we did some research and found some useful info. It’s being sold in Japan (where else?), by a company called Cube-Works, and it costs about 1,000Yen, or roughly $9. If we spoke Japanese, we might be able to find out if they’ll ship out of the island, but we doubt it.

Descriptions of course don’t do it justice. That’s why you’ve got YouTube. So, keep reading for a video of this baby.

  1. The Cube-Works web site doesn’t say anything about storage capacity – may just be a toy dog that humps your computer and that’s it. If it is a flash drive they should forget the switch and just have it hump to indicate data transfer.

  2. I do not know why so meny seem to get it in there head that this is a memory stick, its not and I dont know why they think it is but it is cool
