This week on BotJunkie, we began with a serious discussion about non-pilots flying combat UAVs, got a little less serious with a giant R2-D2 pez dispenser, though about what we might store on a robot flash drive, questioned the wisdom of an uncanny robot teacher, started saving up for a UAV designed for the consumer market, looked into all four eyes of the Bino3 surveillance robot, learned that BattleBots is taping new shows next month but nobody may ever get to see them, watched a real live MechWarrior rescue robot in action, were less than impressed with a chubby dragon security bot, got really interested in a new robotic cruise control system that makes it so all you have to do is steer your car, and finished the week with a double video Friday, including a bizarre robot rescue dog thing movie trailer from Japan and a video of BigDog’s two giant new weapons.
