You want to be the kind of person who eats berries and does Yoga in the morning, yet you keep coming up with excuses not to go. Well now you can take out at least one of them: the pain of rolling up your mat. The YoYo Mat features a pair of metal strips along the edges that keep it straight when fully unfurled, but when flipped around and hit on the floor cause the entire thing to roll-up on itself. It’s a bit similar to the principle behind slap bracelets. There’s no compromise on comfort since it’s 5.5mm thick and made from a closed-cell foam construction that prevents bacteria, mold, and odor from developing. It’ll stay rolled up without needing a strap, and it unrolls easily with just a toss. All in all it seems like a solution to what’s, to be perfectly honest, barely a problem. But any friction in the process of getting fit can sometimes be too much friction, so we feel that the $79 pledge required to own this is more than reasonable.
