Pocket Keyring Watch

In conclusive proof that fashion is cyclical, the pocket watch is back. Some progress has obviously been made: this concept from Francisco Cubides is in cube form, decked out in glossy black until you pull on the attached keychain to activate the time display. At the same time, though, how far have we really come? You don’t have to wind this watch, but you do have to carry around an external battery pack. And unless you hold it properly (with the keychain strap pointing down) you might have some trouble telling the time, though you’d have to be somewhat intellectually stunted to think it “90:hi” when actually it’s 14:06.

It is however, just a concept for now, with no concrete plans for fabrication.
