You know you’ve found your geek soulmate when he/she agrees to wear the LoveJacket. They come in unique pairs, and each contains an infra-red emitter and receiver, a set of LEDs. a PIC chip (programmable interrupt controller) and little speakers. When you and your mate are within 10 feet of each other (facing one another), your LEDs will light up and the speakers will chirp a sound akin to a cricket.

I imagine this is supposed to be the sound of love.

Sadly, these are not in production, as they’re supposed to be part of the Pattern Language show, organized by the Tufts University Art Gallery, curated by Judith Fox, and Traveling Summer 2005-Winter 2008.
