Take some quartz based motion sensors, cram this in a golf putter, add a little LCD screen, and you’ve suddenly got an entirely different ball game. Epson Toyocom, which is the result of a recent merger between the Quartz Device Operations Division of Seiko Epson and Toyo Communication Equipment are now selling the Gyrosensor Golf Putter. It measures the trajectory and speed of the swing, as well as impact data. The golfer is then able to analyze his swing right there on the display

If you’re one of those types who lives on stats and plays golf on the weekend, this might be the thing for you.

No word on price. More here and here (in Japanese). Story VIA I4U.
