Hm, what could make the whole experience of standing around a luggage carousel at the airport waiting for your bags to hopefully arrive intact worse? Oh I know, if every other person in the crowd has decided that this talking luggage locator tag is a great idea.

It comes with a remote you keep with you that triggers a set of 6 flashing LEDs on the tag, as well as a 30 second message you’ve prerecorded that will help you locate your bag up to 45 feet away. Exactly the type of thing I want to hear while standing around after a long, annoying flight. And it’s just $14.98 from Things You Never Knew Existed so when luggage handlers inevitably destroy it, you won’t feel so bad.

  1. you would think that just the flashing lights would be good enough. Unless you record “HELP I'm trapped in a bag” then you would find your bag real quick.

  2. It's pretty neat and affordable. It would be easy to keep your bags. Sometimes people have the same suitcases and this way you could be like that's mine, *press button* see.

I do like dubzilla's idea of help, I'm trapped in the suitcase. That would be hilarious.

  3. This thing is huge, I hope it makes it through screening okay. Also, I think that if you made it say “help, I'm trapped in a bag / suitcase” security would descend from the shadows, and you would never see your luggage again. Still, it might be worthwhile if you have problems distinguishing your luggage and adding colored tape or ribbons isn't for you.
