While I like the concept and design behind this Swing Lamp, at the same time it looks like the kind of thing you’d see mysteriously swinging in the middle of the night, with the faint sound of kids hauntingly singing “Ring Around The Rosy” somewhere in the distance.
Ironically though, BCSXY who designed the swing actually intended for it to be just the opposite. They hoped it would get rid of the feeling of being ‘alone in the dark’ for anyone who decided to take a midnight swing. It’s not a bad idea, but if you find yourself playing on a swing in the middle of the night with no one else around, there’s a good chance you’ve already got yourself a pretty lonely existence that no amount of stylish lighting is going to overcome.
