As I look outside at a rainy, overcast morning, I can’t help but wonder how effective the system is when the sun isn’t shining. But I guess it’s not designed to be a building’s sole source of light, instead providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to electrical lighting on those days when the sun is shining and you’re stuck indoors.

I feel so dumb. I read the website 2 times and still dont understand how it does it. Is it a solar panel? Or does it reflect light into the house? If the sun is out, I can just open the curtains then why would I need this thing?
Judging by the building it's shown mounted on in the picture, I'd guess it's designed more for offices where you're more likely to have interior space with no windows. Probably not cheap either. It appears to be a big lens that automatically tracks the light and reflects it back into the building through a skylight-type of hole.
I've noticed a pop up of solar panels on street signs and lights. I know i'm going to do something similar to my house when I get one. If only I could buy something this fancy.
