Spine Lamp (Image courtesy Mark Beam Studios)By Andrew Liszewski

I can’t think of a better way to keep annoying co-workers (or really anyone for that matter) from hanging around your desk than with this unique lamp that is shaped like a human spine.

Now I’m pretty sure it’s not an actual spine but nevertheless it looks realistic enough to creep out a few people. And if you were wondering the answer is yes, the neck of the lamp is also flexible allowing you to aim the light where you need it.

The Spine Lamp includes a marble base and classy gold paint finish and is available from Mark Beam Studios for only $1,500. At least that price includes shipping.

  1. Interesting idea – i’d prefer it in white or black too…maybe a ‘glow in the dark’ spine hehe.

Anyway, that’s 3 months salary for me here (in south africa) – so yeah – we really are behind.

  2. i prefer it dirty white where it really looks like real bones and at the same time, use the skull as the head lamp. that would be real creepy and better. hehehe

  3. When I first saw the lamp, I was like “where can I get this” and when I saw the price, I’m like, “It must be made out of gold to cost that much.” Its a novelty lamp, so I guess thats why the price tag is so steep.

  4. It would be cheaper to use a real spine and then get rid of the rest of the corpse. Moreover it would look real. I kinda like the idea of using the skull as head lamp, gonna look into that.

  5. Ouch! I saw this and naively thought I’d order two — one for my chiropractor and one for my physical therapist . . . . but at $1,500? Sorry, guys — a appreciate you, but not that much.
