If you’re one of those suburb or country dwellers who finds themselves constantly battling the local animal population this modern take on the trusty scarecrow could bring some relief.

The ScareCrow is basically a sprinkler with a built-in motion detector that connects to a garden hose and can be set up anywhere on your property you want protected from the wildlife. When the motion sensor detects an animal it will fire a startling burst of water back and forth for a few seconds scaring off the intruder and hopefully convinces them to never return. The ScareCrow uses only about 2-3 cups of water per deterrence and will protect and cover an area of about 1200 sq. ft. It operates for up to 6 months on a single 9-volt battery and is currently available for about $80.

  1. I’ve been using one of these for years, keeps the deer out of my vegetable garden. My cat, who likes to lie on the raised beds, simply walks a circle around it each season, figuring out where the edge of the sensor range is, and then sits in a part of the garden where it doesn’t cover.

    This is an odd device, basically a sprinkler head that attaches to your water hose and sports a motion sensor. When the motion sensor is tripped the sprinkler springs into action to scare off any animals that might be wanting……

  3. A good watering can is made of brass because its last longer compared to plastic watering can. It is a little bit heavier but in a long run, it’s worth it. To make a watering can much better, you can place a water breaker at the nozzle.
