I’m not sure what’s scarier here. The fact that these guys have gone out of their way to mod a chainsaw so that it can be attached to an automatic rifle ‘semi-automatic sporting weapon’ or shotgun in lieu of a bayonet, or the fact that they probably weren’t inspired by Gears Of War, and have most likely never even played the game. The images were posted on the AR15.com Forums by user ‘SOC’, and include a handful of videos showing the contraption in action. In fact, here’s a clip of them cutting through an old door, since the video titled “Sawing Limbs” isn’t what I thought it would be.

Technically speaking, it's only a semi-automatic or partial-automatic weapon… But who's counting when you have a chainsaw mounted on the front???
Nice video. I'm pretty sure he could just kick that raggedy door open. Instead, he took a lot of time to cut out the lock. The he kicked the door open.
That's my “raggedy door” on my barn, he's sawing through, and yes it was weak as hell. What the vid didn't show was the 8″ or so thick, hardwood log it sawed through along with about an hour's worth of sawing up other things, just before attacking that door. I'm sure it wouldn't have been quite as weak with a fully charged battery. Still it was fun, and that's all we were after.
BTW that's also me on the right, with the other one I mounted on my Saiga-12 like a bayo.
