popconr-monsoon

Yeah, that’s a sad headline, but there you have it. The Popcorn Monsoon is a little appliance for making popcorn, well, more fun. At least the popping part of it, since eating it is always kind of cool. The conceptual device uses hot air to get the kernels popped, which is healthier than oil. And then the popped corn gets pushed up this bent plastic tube and falls into an awaiting bowl. Kids can watch as the snack gets made, and they may look forward to eating it despite it being bland as heck.

Yes, this particular product has existed for ages, only this one has a longer neck and bright colors. But that’s just it, isn’t it? It’s amazing what a little design change can do to brighten up an otherwise bland and unassuming appliance. Sadly, it’s not a real product, though we suspect it would do well in the marketplace if anyone took the time to manufacture it.
