I speak about digicams rarely for the simple reason that, to my eyes, they resemble one another so much. The Pentax Optio S6 however, happens to have a little extra worth mentioning: it encodes video directly to DivX. That’s right, the 6 megapixel camera is able to capture full screen VGA video, at 30fps, with anti-shake technology directly to the popular compression format, on SD. What this means, of course, is one full hour of video of your untalented niece doing somersaults, as opposed to a merciful 15 minutes.
The thing sells for about $300, on Amazon.
