It’s not that I’m against products that make our lives easier. In fact, were it not for my many robot butlers and maidservants I probably wouldn’t have my robust 450-pound physique. But as humans, have we really gotten to the point where shaking salt and pepper onto our meal is just too much effort? Now I realize the act of seasoning your food can leave you breathless and in need of a short nap, but if you switch to one of these automated shakers you’ll lose that much needed daily workout. (Though pulling the string on one of these probably burns at least 1/20th of a calorie.)

But since most of my prophetic warnings to mankind go unheeded, you can find the Movers & Shakers at Fosters in Red & Nectarine, Blue & Yellow or Charcoal & White colors for just $10.50 a pair.

  1. are we really that lazy now?? ok so you pull the string and it vibrates for a while… this seems to actually create more work- you have to wait for it to stop shaking if it is still going after you have as much salt/pepper as you want! this is a solution looking for a problem, belongs in the half-bakery not on store shelves.
