PC Guardian

One of the biggest security risks on any public computer is having an accessible USB port. These days it’s all but impossible to find a computer that isn’t littered with such ports. Sure, there are ways to actually go into Windows and disable them, but not everyone is tech-savvy enough to do so. Here’s a simple way to physically cut off access to these extremely common ports.

The PC Guardian simply plugs into an open USB port and blocks the neighboring one. It stays in place until unlocked. If you need to keep something plugged in, it also has a cable guard that work in conjunction with it. The whole kit costs $25. Sure, it won’t keep them safe against someone that’s extremely determined, but it’ll make them work for it.
