Normally I have no interest in floating novelty items, but this one caught my eye. I think it’s because this is the first one I’ve seen that doesn’t use a large arm on top of the floating object, in addition to a stand underneath. So the effect of this “museum-quality” globe floating over its curved mirror base is actually kind of cool.

The downside though is the globe is only 4 inches in diameter. Given the detailed product shot I was hoping it was at least the size of a basketball (if not larger) making it the perfect addition to the evil genius office I’m having renovated in the east wing. But at only 4 inches, it’s more likely to stay in the games room and get swung at with a Nerf bat.
