You’re used to citronella candles or the downright primitive bug zapper taking care of the insect problem in your backyard. But if you look at the picture above, you can’t help but realize that there’s now a better way to deal with the insects. It’s called the InaTrap Electronic Insect Killer and it’s got a few things going for it. For one, dude, look at it. Like an alien artefact, it’ll look good in your backyard, plain and simple. But aside from that, it attracts insects by emitting some CO2, which mimics human breath. Insects can’t tell the difference, so they get closer. Then there’s that soft LED glow, which attracts them further. And just when they’re close enough to realize that they’re heading for a sexy death camp, a little fan sucks them in and dumps them into a basket. Yeah, it doesn’t kill them. That’s entirely up to you. You can let them rot in the basket, toss them out, squash them (bug lovers, please write to our legal department if you have any complaints) or set them free again (you hippie…).

They start at $85 and come in a variety of colours.
