From what I’ve seen there’s really 2 types of campers. There’s those who park a massive trailer with all the comforts of home in a crowded campground and there’s those who fill a backpack with the bare necessities and head out into the woods. For the latter group this lantern will come in handy no matter how things turn out. It uses 20 superbright white LEDs that are visible for 20 miles and will run for 45 days or about 1000 hours on 3 D-size batteries.
But if things take a turn for the worse and you get lost or injured the lantern also includes 6 red LEDs that will automatically flash the international SOS signal. The combination of the flashing red lights and the bright white LEDs should ensure that rescue parties have an easier time finding you.
