By Andrew Liszewski

Not as wimpy as your standard Power Wheels, but not as dangerous as a real ATV, this all terrain Polaris ride-on falls somewhere in the middle, making it ideal for kids and pre-teens. It’s modeled after the Polaris Ranger RZR, but the dual 24-volt electric motors can only power it to a top speed of about 7 MPH. The 15-inch molded wheels and rear suspension should help it navigate even the most unkempt of backyards, and a set of power brakes are automatically engaged whenever the driver removes their foot from the accelerator. And since today’s modern kids couldn’t possibly go for a ride without their tunes, the mini Polaris comes standard with an FM radio featuring an aux-in for connecting an MP3 player. $1,000 from Hammacher Schlemmer.

  1. That looks like so much fun. My younger self is going crazy with excitement right now. I was pretty girly though, so I’m not sure if I could have handled this one.. maybe if it were pink :p Kids are so lucky these days!

  2. It’s almost impossible when I was young to play with this kind of machine. It’s good for new young generation to have a chance with this kind of stuff and I would definitely introduce to my kids.

  3. That is so cool! Growing up, I would have LOVED to have one of these. I like in the pic how they have the girl getting driven around by the guy.. haha. So true! I would have been the girl driving the guys around :p

  4. Power Wheels, Smower Wheels lol. This definitely makes them seem like something of the past. This is so much fun. I had something like this back in the day, but it was nothing compared to this. My son would flip if he saw this one.
