iron-keyboard-waffle

It’s been floating around the Intertubes since at least 2007, but at last it looks like we just might be able to have waffles in the shape of a keyboard. Having first graced the cover of Gizmodo back in 2007, and right here on OhGizmo in 2008, Chris Dimino’s creation has been 7 years in the making. Originally born from Chris’ desire to repurpose an old Corona typewriter, the waffle maker you’re looking at today is nothing more than two cast iron plates with a familiar keyboard layout. It’s not a powered machine, so you will need a stove or other hot surface to get it to temp, but once there, just pour some batter in there and wait as it does its magic.

How you eat a long, keyboard-shaped waffle is entirely up to you, but we can see this fitting right in a geeky household. It’s currently doing the Kickstarter dance and there’s no guarantee it’ll reach its goal. But if you fancy yourself a waffle aficionado, know that a $60 pledge will help make this product a reality.
