Dinnertime conversation… Some of you might remember the days where you’d actually, you know, talk to one another at the diner table, rather than peck away at your smartphone between bites. If these memories are felt with a sense of fondness, maybe you can bring that old tradition back. IKEA Taiwan has a put out a video showcasing a hotplate that only gets hot if enough smartphones are placed underneath it. We’re not sure how the tech works (is it just a scale?) but the more phones you put down there, the hotter the meal gets. There is very little information on this, and we doubt it’s something the company is planning on releasing to the public. But we can bet there’s a strong market for something like this.
