Canned Cheeseburger

By Evan Ackerman

I wish this was a joke, but it’s not: it’s cheeseburger in a can, complete with all the fixin’s. I’m going to make a totally unfounded assumption that whatever comes out of the can bears little or no resemblance to the tasty burger shown in the picture above. Even though I’m sure I’ll regret it, I really, really want to know just what exactly is inside that can.

Remember kids, cheeseburgers are the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. $6 plus shipping from Germany.

  1. Uhhh… ew. The thing in the can won’t look like the picture, I’m sure. But maybe someone buys one and sends you a photo.

The real weird this is that, disgusting as it is, it made me hungry.

  2. It says Trekking Mahlzeiten, which means something like “outdoor/trekking dinners” in german, so its not exactly aimed at home or backyard bbq use.
I think we would all agree on the taste, but it’ll surely beat starving in the wilderness. Still though, cheesburger in a can… Who would have thought we’d live to see the day?

  3. Good find, Doug. Maybe we’ll see a rebate after they get a refund from their print shop. Boy, the company that made those labels totally borked up on the “fl” ligatures.
