This week Logitech introduced the VX Nano notebook mouse. I have been using one here at my desk for the last few days and it is without a doubt one of the best notebook mice available. The VX Nano has the same hyper-fast scroll wheel as the VX Revolution notebook mouse, making scrolling long pages a breeze and it can easily be changed from free-wheel mode to click mode by pressing on the scroll wheel.
The most innovative feature of the VX Nano is the micro wireless receiver that uses advanced 2.4 GHz tech for connectivity. The receiver sticks out of your notebooks USB port a mere 8mm, which means you don’t have to remove the receiver from your notebook after you use the mouse.

Accuracy is good, but you won’t mistake the VX Nano for a high-sensitivity gaming mouse for sure. The Nano is powered by a pair of AAA batteries that Logitech claims will last for up to six months. A padded carry case is also included and if you want to remove the tiny USB receiver from your notebook there is a place under the battery door of the mouse to store the receiver.
The only thing I don’t care for are the buttons that are mapped by default for forward and back when surfing the web are in a weird place and are activated by your click finger rather than your thumb. Overall, the VX Nano feels good in the hand and is very compact and easy to take on the road. You can get more inforamtion on the mouse at Logitech.
“pair of AAA batteries that Logitech claims will last for up to six months” – What! anyone who’s used a wireless mouse knows a mouse even on idle wouldn’t even last that long on one recharge.
