Have you ever wondered why your Xbox controller looks the way it looks? Do you think some guy at Microsoft just woke up one morning and thought it up? Was it inspired by anything? How did things evolve from that first Atari joystick to today’s slick (or not so slick) PS3 controllers and such?
This diagram purports to show just that evolution. What controller inspired what and such. And it’s not just the picture. There’s also a link to a website with a little history on each of the said controllers.
