Forebruary
One thing that hasn’t gone paperless yet is the calendar. Every year, these things need to be replaced and it adds to the solid waste piling up in landfills all over the world. Maybe it’s with this realization that designer Ilya Birman worked with to come up with Forebruary. It’s a calendar that you can use for all seasons, every month of the year, for many years to come.

It’s not a digital calendar either. The design is pretty ingenious, really. Basically the calendar is in the form of a movable frame that is adjustable to “fit” whatever month it currently is.

A red stripe highlights the weekend so you can spot them more easily. It might be a bit confusing at first, but I’m pretty sure you’ll get used to it in time. It’s still a concept for now, though.
