If you’ve ever done anything Oktoberfest-related, you’ve probably become acquainted with a beer stein. The ornamental pewter mugs are a staple at any bavarian-themed festivity, but they’re a little cumbersome to carry around. They’re pretty expensive too, sometimes. The Das Can-In-Stein started out as a Thinkgeek April’s Fool joke, but like many of these, it turned into a real product. It’s a pewter-looking plastic container that accepts any 12oz. can of beer (or soda, of course) and turns into a rudimentary stein. Yeah, sure, it’s a novelty item and completely unnecessary. But at $10, it’s a cheap way to have a little fun. It’s also kind of awesome to say out loud. Try it!
