There are a lot of apps you can download that will track just how far your computer mouse actually travels each day. The results are probably pretty surprising to most people and it makes me wonder what pushing around a small plastic object for miles on end is doing to my wrists. The verdict can’t be a good one.

Of course the best solution would be to get rid of the mouse all together but since thought-based computing didn’t quite make it into the release build of the upcoming Vista this mouse from CrazyPC could be the next best thing. It claims to be 100% friction-less because the mouse actually floats one centimeter above its special mousepad at all times thanks to “patent-pending electromagnetic hovering technology.” So… magnets. Not only will the Hover Mouse reduce stress on your wrist but they also claim it’s great for increased accuracy when it comes to gaming.

The Hover Mouse is available now from CrazyPC for $74.99.

Well thanks to the good people at I4U News it has been discovered that the Hover Mouse is actually an April Fools Day gag… that for some reason was left on the site… until November. Clicking on the ‘Add To Basket’ link takes you to this page.

CrazyPC… you just made the LIST!
