Fuel cells as energy source for your various gadgets sounds like a great idea to me. First, Toshiba comes out with a fuel cell MP3. And now Canon jumps on the fuel cell bandwagon with these hydrogen fuel-cell-powered digital cameras.

The fuel cells presently have a volume energy density equivalent to lithium ion secondary batteries of the same size, the company aims to realize densities three to five times larger in the future.

Of course there’s always the issue of just where to get your hydrogen.
