In university I had a few pieces of inflatable furniture because they were not only cheap, but also extremely easy to transport when it came to move back home for the Summer. (Though they rarely survived the entire school year.) Unfortunately they also looked like cheap furniture, and that’s probably why my dorm room never appeared in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. But apparently inflatable furniture technology has advanced quite a bit over the past few years, and at first glance you wouldn’t even know these Blofield Inflatable Chesterfields were actually inflatable. They’re made from the same material that’s used in life rafts, so in theory they’re difficult to puncture, and they even come with a pump that will have them blown up in just 5 minutes. They’re available in Stone White, Earth Green and Midnight Grey from Design Conscious, but with a price tag of about $630, you’re probably better off investing in a real piece of furniture instead.
