Beyond Awesome: Roller Coaster Planet Through the Lens of Six GoPro Cameras

To say that the things you can do with a GoPro is limitless is no exaggeration. It’s the world’s most versatile camera, used by amateurs, hobbyists, professionals, and everyone else in between. In case you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea what a GoPro is, well, it’s a waterproof and shockproof HD video camera that’s compact and comes with a wide variety of mounts for added versatility.

The clip above, dubbed as LittlePlanet RollerCoaster, is an example of the awesomeness that you can achieve with the GoPro–well, six of them, actually, and video editing software VideoStitch. Mounted on strategic areas, the resulting video turns the roller coaster into its very own planet, taking you along on a very scenic and exhilarating ride. If this doesn’t inspire you to go out there and shoot something artistic, then I don’t know what will.

The latest model of the GoPro is the Hero3, with the plus version of the camera allowing you to do more. You won’t be able to buy Hero 1 or Hero 2 on the official site anymore, but you can find them on online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. If you happen to think the latter is confusing to navigate, then you can try using a more visual search resource to make the browsing and searching process for eBay listings faster and easier (a neat tip I discovered recently, being a chronic shopper myself).

The video was shot and edited by videographer extraordinaire Ignacio Ferrando.
