Throwing a paper plane around is great when you’re about 6 years old, but it gets stale quickly as an adult. Unless of course you outfit it with the PowerUp FPV kit. It’s a super lightweight camera-and-propeller rig that keeps your plane up in the air for up to 10 minutes per charge, going at speeds up to 20mph, with a range of up to 300ft. That in itself is great, but what’s truly amazing is that the PowerUp FPV kit also has a 360 degree camera that can transmit an image back to the operator in real-time! Amazingly, it can be controlled with Head Mounted Display gestures, an in-app gamepad, or better yet, Google Cardboard. Yes, not only do you get to see what’s straight ahead, but you can look around as you fly! Features also include an Auto-Pilot mode for easy flying, using a 3-axis compass sensor, 3-axis gyroscope sensor, 3-axis accelerometer and a Barometer.

The product is a collaboration with Parrot, who already has tons of experience with their own drones, so there’s a good chance this will be a quality product. It’ll be priced around $200 with early bird discounts when the project launches on Kickstarter in three weeks.
