Here’s another unique sofa design that will most likely never make it past the concept stage. The ‘Behind The Wall’ is a two-sided piece of furniture that’s supposed to function both as a wall dividing the room in half and as a sofa. A large, flexible membrane covers both sides and not only provides a comfortable place to sit but also allows people on either side to interact with each other.

By the way does anyone remember that TV series The Prisoner? This sofa reminds me of those giant white balls that would chase people down and trap them inside. And then all you would see is the person trying to claw their way out in a vain attempt to escape… Looking back it was definitely not a show I wish I’d seen as a 5 year old.

The ‘Behind The Wall’ was designed by Jordi Canudas and there doesn’t appear to be any plans to mass produce it.
