If you’re the type who prefers to build their own PC, but are getting tired of all the boring and uninspired tower cases available on the market, you might want to check out Antec’s new Skeleton case which claims to actually think “beyond the box” instead of just outside it. In addition to a monstrous three speed 250mm fan on top (with multicolor LED customization) and a 92mm one on the side, the case also features 4 drive bays, a layered tray design making it easy to upgrade components and 7 expansion slots that can even accommodate 11 inch graphics cards. However, since it only comes with 2 USB ports and pretty much no sound baffling, you’ll probably want to keep the Skeleton case mounted in a rack in a back room (it includes rack mount quality side rails) instead of next to your monitor. And besides the promise of ‘Coming Soon!’ there’s no information on pricing or a release date at this time.

  1. Looks cool, but seems like it would be a dust nightmare. I actually want to go the other way. A case that's sealed tight except for the air filters… It does look real cool though.
