morihata-binchotan-charcoal-toothbrushes-xl

So it seems there’s a bunch of people who believe that activated charcoal does some pretty magical things.

Binchotan Charcoal is a highly porous activated charcoal from Japan that naturally removes unpleasant odors from the air, regulates the humidity, absorbs chemicals, dissipates the electromagnetic field, generates beneficial negative ions, and is used in everything from cooking to water purification to household deodorizing.

since it allegedly does so many great things, it’s no surprise to see it integrated into the bristles of a toothbrush, an implement tasked with cleaning some of the dirtiest parts of your body. The Morihata Binchotan Charcoal Toothbrushes are black and apparently will “help remove plaque, stop bad breath, and even prevent harmful bacteria and viruses from growing within the brush itself.” Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s snake oil, but either way the toothbrush is all black, which is kind of cool. It’s $10 for one.
