Super Beards: A Gallery of Beards Shaped Like Superhero Logos

Superhero Beards

These super beards look super cool, but I doubt you can actually go out in public with a beard like this, much less go to work while sporting one. The beards are featured on a small series of ads that Braun did to advertise their CruZer beard and mustache trimmer. Of course, we’ll never know if they actually used the CruZer to trim these guys’ face fuzz or if the mustaches are indeed real or just Photoshopped.

Regardless of that fact, it’s still a pretty fun concept though and comes at the right time, when superheroes are just all over the place (Thor 2 and Captain America 2, anyone?)

Hit the break for two more superhero logo beards.

Would You Have Said Yes? ‘Picking Up Girls in a Fat Suit’ Social Experiment

Do looks still matter as much as they used to, or have people changed? For years, we’ve heard about how so many people have come to the realization that true love prevails, regardless of someone’s wealth, status, or appearance. Putting this to the test is Jason from Simple Pickup, who donned a fat suit and confidently set out to ask random girls for their digits.

Did his confidence and personality win them over, or did his looks turn them off before he even opened his mouth?

The social experiment is interesting and its results undoubtedly say a lot about people’s perceptions nowadays. If you think about it, the results aren’t all that surprising. You can check the clip out above to see for yourself.

Need a Roommate? Create a Poster and See Your Ad Go Viral

Roomate Mock Poster

Awesome roommates are hard to come by. Lauren Fahey recently moved to San Francisco and came upon that realization after apartment hunting for a while. With a lot of other “competitors” on the side, Lauren decided that the only way she was ever going to find a decent place to live in was to sell herself–as being one of the best roommates you could ever have.

Lauren then created a movie poster-like ad which featured testimonials about Lauren as a roommate from previous roommates. The ad’s backdrop featured Lauren with a friend (who could be you, if you’re looking for a roommate!) and an ironic naked man at the back, for no particular reason. She explains: “Apartment and roommate hunting was getting so tedious. It’s ridiculously competitive and I had to find a way to set myself apart.”

Lauren’s methods worked, since she now has herself a roommate. If you’re looking for one yourself, then take a cue from Lauren and see if it works for you, too.

Rickroll’d in Klingon: Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ in Klingon

You’ll never forget the first time you were Rickroll’d. I certainly didn’t. What happened was: a friend called me one day and asked if I had heard about the iPhone 4S. I said no, and he told me to check out his Facebook profile because he had linked to an article about it. So I stupidly clicked on the shortened URL and was treated to Rick Astley in all his retro Never Gonna Give You Up goodness.

Rickrolling is still very much alive and kicking, and now an alternate Klingon version of his hit song has hit the web. It’s a Star Trek-inspired parody directed by Christopher Kidder-Mostrom, who also happens to provide the vocals for the video. Now it won’t win any music awards, but it’s a pretty decent–not to mention hilarious–effort.

So what are you waiting for? Get Rickrolling now, Klingon-style.

Squirrels are Superheroes

Squirrel Hero

Squirrels are superheroes in their own little way. They’re apparently responsible for planting a whole bunch of trees every year because they forgot where they buried their acorns. Even if it’s unintentional, we’ll take it as face value and consider these little, adorable creatures heroes either way.

Taking the “hero” bit more literally is Santiago-Perez from Spain, who used PhotoShop to transform your ordinary, run-of-the-mill squirrel into some of the most powerful and well-known superheroes of all time, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk, and even Batman. A Yoda squirrel is thrown somewhere into the mix, too. Check out the rest of the images in the series after the break.

Telekinesis Prank Is A Couple Notches Better Than Anything We’ve Seen So Far

Ok, first of all, this is an engineered viral video ad for the movie Carrie. But that doesn’t matter, because we’re of the belief that if an ad is actually entertaining, we’re all for watching it. And this particular commercial is awesome. It’s an elaborate prank on some unsuspecting coffee shop customers involving a girl with “telekinetic powers”. It’s so well made that you’d actually have a hard time believing it’s a prank. It involves tables on RC wheels, and a dude hanging from a wall.

It’s a fun watch. 10 million views in two days can’t all be wrong, right?

#MustWatch: Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon’s Hilarious Sketch That Mocks #Hashtags

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon are bros for life and it shows in their latest comedy skit that mocks hashtags–or rather, its overuse and the sometimes annoying ways that people use them. The celebrity duo manage to have an entire conversation that’s peppered in the end by a multitude of hashtags that people normally use when they’re on Twitter or on some other social network.

At first, it’s fine. But then, it slowly starts to get on your nerves…

There’s nothing annoying about Justin and Jimmy though. In fact, they manage to show how silly and dumb conversations sound when hashtags are added at the end of every statement. This skit will either have you hanging your head in shame or laughing your head off–or both. Watch it. You won’t regret it. #nokidding #forreal #okay #imdone #bye

Horror Comic-Themed Engagement Photos: Because Love Conquers All–Even Masked Creepers

Horror Comic Book Engagement

For their engagement photos, Chris and Alexandra came up with a fun and unique concept that’s definitely got people talking: a horror comic book theme. Their couple is all lovey dovey until they spot a saw-wielding masked man. That’s when the horror begins, and the photos play out like a comic book as the couple spring into action.

It’s definitely different from most engagement shoots where couples just lie around and gaze into each other’s eyes the entire time. Hit the break to check out the full gallery–and to find out what happens next.
