Beyond Awesome: Roller Coaster Planet Through the Lens of Six GoPro Cameras

To say that the things you can do with a GoPro is limitless is no exaggeration. It’s the world’s most versatile camera, used by amateurs, hobbyists, professionals, and everyone else in between. In case you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea what a GoPro is, well, it’s a waterproof and shockproof HD video camera that’s compact and comes with a wide variety of mounts for added versatility.

The clip above, dubbed as LittlePlanet RollerCoaster, is an example of the awesomeness that you can achieve with the GoPro–well, six of them, actually, and video editing software VideoStitch. Mounted on strategic areas, the resulting video turns the roller coaster into its very own planet, taking you along on a very scenic and exhilarating ride. If this doesn’t inspire you to go out there and shoot something artistic, then I don’t know what will.

Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos Is Your Feel-Good Video Of The Day

Y’all have to watch this. If it doesn’t put a smile on your face, you’re smiling-dysfunctional. If you need a description before watching a video, the headline should have taken care of that. If you need details in your description, the most we can add here is that the vid was made by “HelloDenizen”, who’ve made just one more vid called BubbleP0rn. We’re not sure what that one’s about (ain’t nobody got time to be watching all the videos) but it does have 2.7M views so it’s probably pretty good.

Damnit, Expelliarmus: ‘Harry Potter’ Dementor Prank

Remember those soul-sucking creatures from Harry Potter that can seal your fate with a single, fatal kiss? If you’re a fan of the franchise, then you probably do. Two dudes decided to have a little fun with the character by bringing it to life. Save for a hooded black robe and a dude who does a good impression of being possessed, the duo don’t have any props but their little prank was still a roaring success. I almost feel bad for all the people they scared…well, almost.

Half of them probably didn’t get the Harry Potter reference but seeing such strangeness right before your very eyes might be enough to freak an average person out. I know I probably would’ve been, too. Check it out!

ForeverNOT Lets You Put a Wager On People’s Relationships

ForeverNot App0

ForeverNOT is one of those cruel but fun apps that you’ll probably still get because of the entertainment factor. Not only does it ask you to judge on whether or not relationships between certain friends will work out, but it also asks you to bet on them as well. In this day and age where some people trader partners and get into X+3 relationships in X months, it kind of makes sense (and justifies your usage of the app, especially when they call you up in the middle of the night to say “I think he’s the one!” after only three weeks of dating.)

If you’re not too keen to put your friends up on the pedestal, then you can always weigh in on celebrity couplings, with one of the most-talked about pairings right now being Kim K and Kanye West.

What You Can Buy With $2.2 Mil: An Abandoned Amusement Part in Berlin

Abandoned Park on Ebay

If you’re filthy rich and have always wanted to own an amusement park, then here’s your chance to get one for cheap. At only $2.2 million (or 1.62 million euros), Spreepark is a steal. But here’s the catch (there are two, actually): it’s a fixer-upper and it’s located all the way in Berlin.

It comes with all the thrills and frills that most amusement parks have: a Ferris wheel, a swamp, a roller coaster, and a bunch of other rides and attractions. However, they’re probably not the safest rides around because they haven’t been operated since the park shut down over a decade ago. In fact, most of the park looks pretty messy and desolate, with the exception of select areas that are open to tours and a recently-opened cafe.

Forensic Scientist Reconstructs Crystal Head Vodka Man

You’ve probably seen a bottle of Crystal Head Vodka at your local liquor store. Most of you probably thought “huh, cool gimmick!” and moved on. But forensic scientist/artist Nigel, from Scotland, took that thought a step further and wondered what the CHV man would look like. He then took it upon himself to reconstruct the flesh around the skull, using techniques that have been employed with real cadavers over the years. The result is a creepy smiling man that looks oddly reminiscent of Willem Dafoe. Or something. Point is, we now have a face to the skull, and once you see these pics, you’ll never be able to look at Crystal Head Vodka the same way again.

Best Prank Ever: Guy Blasted 50 Meters Through the Roof As He Wakes Up

The morning after a night of partying is the worst. Most people take a while to recover before they come to their senses when they’re hungover, but Japanese comedian Toshiaki Kasuga had no choice but to awaken from his drunken stupor immediately. People from the prank show purposely got him drunk the night before and strapped him into the bed in preparation for the prank.

Not only was he suddenly exposed to bright fireworks and the great outdoors, but his rude awakening comprised of him being strapped onto a bed and flung out fifty meters through the roof at the base of Mt. Fuji!

Hit the break for a clip of the prank in its entirety!

Sad Keanu is the Best and Saddest Toy Ever

Sad Keanu Toy

Who on the internet hasn’t seen that image of Keanu Reeves hunched over at a park bench, looking extremely downcast and lonely? Fans of Keanu rushed to send the actor messages of encouragement, which prompted him to explain that he wasn’t depressed but was just enjoying a solo lunch at the park.

It’s crazy what a single image can do and what the internet can come up because of it. Aside from memes and fan art, an actual 3D-printed model of Sad Keanu now exists, thanks to Japan-based toy builder idk.Continue Reading

‘Wingman’ App Hooks You Up with Other Singles On Your Flight

Wingman App How do you spend your time in a plane? I usually read or sleep or talk with whoever I’m traveling with, but if you’re the type who wants to meet new people and eventually ask them out by the time you land, then you might find the Wingman app useful. Currently in development, the app was thought up by Buzzfeed copywriter Gabe Whaley.

He explains: “I’m pretty sure that at some point, anyone who’s flown has had a thought, like, ‘I wonder what it would be like to talk to that person. Too bad it’s never going to happen, because the seating arrangement didn’t provide for that.'” Presumably this app will be able to help you out by introducing you somehow to that person. No specifics have been revealed yet aside from its premise, but Wingman definitely sounds interesting.

If you’re down to fly, reserve a seat by signing up for their beta launch here.
