Pug Stars in Adorably Hilarious Remake of ‘Home Alone’

Home Alone is one of those Christmas classics that never gets old. In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen this, it’s about a kid named Kevin who gets left behind when his family goes on vacation in Paris. He lives it up and does everything he normally wouldn’t be able to do with his parents around–until a pair of burglars come and try to rob his house. That’s when the fun begins.

But what would the movie be like if Macaulay Culkin were replaced with a pug? With the same plot, the same characters, different actors, the result is as hilarious as it is adorable. This puppy-themed remake of the movie was done by The Pet Collective.

Girls Are A**holes, At Least These Ones In This Fictional Bar Are

Or maybe not even. This is normal human behaviour, we think… And to be fair, guys can be a**holes too, so don’t take this to heart. But this editor was in tears by the end of this clip. From laughter, of course.

The link to tech? None whatsoever. Or maybe guys like tech, and guys will like this, so… there? Yeah… No, but really, we’re only showing you this because it’s brilliant and we think you guys will get a kick out of it.

If Harry Potter and His Friends Had Instagram…

Harry Potter Instagram5

When you’ve got magic, you don’t really need the Internet or a smartphone for that matter. But let’s just say that in an alternate universe, Harry Potter and the gang got their hands on a smartphone and discovered the wonders of Instagram. If that happened, then these are the imagined posts that they would make.

They go light on the filters, but that’s probably because they all look picture perfect and camera ready most of the time. Harry, Ron, Hermione, their kids, and even Draco get in on the action in this gallery created by Jen Lewis from Buzzfeed. Hit the break to check out more imagined IG posts from the Chosen One and his friends after the break.

Uber Delivers Adoptable Kittens On-Demand for National Cat Day

Uber Kittens

Every year, people all across the country celebrate cats and their awesomeness on October 29, which is known as National Cat Day. This year, Uber collaborated meme site Cheezburger to do something different. They set up a temporary service which ran for five hours to deliver adoptable kittens on demand to people who wanted one.

In case you haven’t heard of them, Uber is an app that lets people call for a car service with a tap of a button. They updated their app with a “KITTENS!” button last week, where users can instead opt to have a cat delivered instead of a car for $20. For that amount, users were treated to fifteen minutes of snuggling with a kitty plus cupcakes from Ace of Cakes while supplies lasted. They also had the option to adopt the kitten if they wanted to.

The best part? All of the proceeds were donated to local animal shelters. More details about the event that was here.

Super Beards: A Gallery of Beards Shaped Like Superhero Logos

Superhero Beards

These super beards look super cool, but I doubt you can actually go out in public with a beard like this, much less go to work while sporting one. The beards are featured on a small series of ads that Braun did to advertise their CruZer beard and mustache trimmer. Of course, we’ll never know if they actually used the CruZer to trim these guys’ face fuzz or if the mustaches are indeed real or just Photoshopped.

Regardless of that fact, it’s still a pretty fun concept though and comes at the right time, when superheroes are just all over the place (Thor 2 and Captain America 2, anyone?)

Hit the break for two more superhero logo beards.

Would You Have Said Yes? ‘Picking Up Girls in a Fat Suit’ Social Experiment

Do looks still matter as much as they used to, or have people changed? For years, we’ve heard about how so many people have come to the realization that true love prevails, regardless of someone’s wealth, status, or appearance. Putting this to the test is Jason from Simple Pickup, who donned a fat suit and confidently set out to ask random girls for their digits.

Did his confidence and personality win them over, or did his looks turn them off before he even opened his mouth?

The social experiment is interesting and its results undoubtedly say a lot about people’s perceptions nowadays. If you think about it, the results aren’t all that surprising. You can check the clip out above to see for yourself.

Need a Roommate? Create a Poster and See Your Ad Go Viral

Roomate Mock Poster

Awesome roommates are hard to come by. Lauren Fahey recently moved to San Francisco and came upon that realization after apartment hunting for a while. With a lot of other “competitors” on the side, Lauren decided that the only way she was ever going to find a decent place to live in was to sell herself–as being one of the best roommates you could ever have.

Lauren then created a movie poster-like ad which featured testimonials about Lauren as a roommate from previous roommates. The ad’s backdrop featured Lauren with a friend (who could be you, if you’re looking for a roommate!) and an ironic naked man at the back, for no particular reason. She explains: “Apartment and roommate hunting was getting so tedious. It’s ridiculously competitive and I had to find a way to set myself apart.”

Lauren’s methods worked, since she now has herself a roommate. If you’re looking for one yourself, then take a cue from Lauren and see if it works for you, too.

Rickroll’d in Klingon: Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ in Klingon

You’ll never forget the first time you were Rickroll’d. I certainly didn’t. What happened was: a friend called me one day and asked if I had heard about the iPhone 4S. I said no, and he told me to check out his Facebook profile because he had linked to an article about it. So I stupidly clicked on the shortened URL and was treated to Rick Astley in all his retro Never Gonna Give You Up goodness.

Rickrolling is still very much alive and kicking, and now an alternate Klingon version of his hit song has hit the web. It’s a Star Trek-inspired parody directed by Christopher Kidder-Mostrom, who also happens to provide the vocals for the video. Now it won’t win any music awards, but it’s a pretty decent–not to mention hilarious–effort.

So what are you waiting for? Get Rickrolling now, Klingon-style.
