Deal Of The Day: 15% Off On IllumiBowl Toilet Night Light

My girlfriend always gets up in the middle of the night to pee. The bed moving around while she gets out is annoying enough, but her turning the bathroom light on is the killer. If I had the IllumiBowl Toilet Night Light, she could just walk into the room and a gentle light would guide her while saving my poor sleep-deprived retinas.

Deal Of The Day: 15% Off On IllumiBowl Toilet Night Light

If you’re a remotely considerate person, you’ll be careful when you get up in the middle of the night not to wake your partner up. This may mean keeping the lights off to go to the restroom, which in turn means some fumbling around and possibly some pee on the floor. Not good. But with the IllumiBowl Toilet Night Light, a motion detector senses your presence and lights up the bowl for your convenience.

The Looblade Is A New Take On The Toilet Bowl Brush

looblade-6

They say that when something isn’t broken, you shouldn’t fix it. But improving isn’t the same as fixing, and the Looblade creators make some good points about why their design is an improvement on the venerable bathroom staple: the toilet brush. For one, it’s made from flexible silicone TPU elastomer material that doesn’t trap bacteria as brush bristles tend to do; to clean it you simply shake it before re-inserting in its holder. The material itself has anti-microbial properties that are said to kill 99.9% of germs. Additionally, the cleaning tip features 8 spiralling blades that perform a kind of squeegee action as they’re being inserted at the bottom of your bowl, cleaning both faster and more efficiently. The lack of bristles also mean you won’t get any disgusting dirty water drips as you carry the Looblade back into its holder. All in all, it’s an interesting design that totally justifies the $23 asking price. It’s a Kickstarter, so you will have to wait until December of this year to get yours if you decide to purchase.

Sanrio To Release A Hello Kitty Toilet Seat

hello-kitty-toilet

Because pooping is the first thing anyone thinks of when they hear the words Hello Kitty, Sanrio has decided to release a fairly sophisticated toilet seat in the character’s likeness. So now you’ll be able to, uh, drop some weight in the cutest way possible. The seat has a warming function, as well as a warm water bidet. There might even be other things, considering the control panel looks like it might belong in a jetliner; just look at all those buttons! There’s no word on price or availability, but the product was shown off at the company’s Tokyo headquarters last February 2nd.

Illumibowl Lights Up Your Toilet Bowl

illumibowl-1

It’t the middle of the night and you have to pee. You get to the restroom, then are faced with a choice. Pee in the dark and risk missing your target, or turn the lights on and blind yourself for a couple of minutes. If only there were other options. There are, my friend, there are, and the Illumibowl is the latest. It’s a combination motion detector and bright LED that turns on as soon as you walk into the restroom. It simply clips to the side of the commode, so requires no installation or fussing about. It’ll cycle through some colors while you’re there, and then turn itself off after a minute if it senses no motion. Best of all, it’s super cheap, costing only a $15 pledge to get yours by January, and that’s including shipping.

Han Solo Frozen In Carbonite Toilet Seat

han-solo-toilet-seat

We sense a disturbance in the force. It’s… it’s as if a new Star Wars movie is being made… and suddenly the market is flooded with all kinds of merchandise. What else can help explain the fact that you’re looking (and even perhaps contemplating buying) a toilet seat sporting the iconic Hal Solo Frozen In Carbonite image? Brushing aside the indignity of having Han preside over your smelly expulsions, the seat itself is carefully hand-painted by an artist in New Hampshire. It’s made from wood and should feel like a quality product. There’s also a Satisfaction Guarantee on the purchase, so if you don’t feel right about the $60 you’ll have to spend to own this, you can easily get a refund. Each one is custom made, and takes between 7 and 14 days to ship out.

Do You Hate Bacteria Enough To Make Your Toilet Touchless?

kohler-590x330

We don’t believe toilets are as germ-rich as people like to think. But no amount of reasoning will be enough to convince those of us with more robust phobias. Well, Kohler’s got you covered, folks: they’re selling a $100 retrofit kit that makes it possible never to touch your toilet with your hands; if you want to never touch it at all however, you will have to learn to hover over the seat. A motion-activated sensor triggers the inner mechanism (a simple rotating arm), which simply pulls the chain that you normally pull with the flush. The flush handle itself can be removed and replaced with a hole cover for a sleeker look, while a sticker can be applied to inform your guests that your toilet is in fact absolutely functional and not strange at all.
