London Cinema Employs Ninjas to Shut Noisy Moviegoers Up

London Cinema Ninjas

There’s no escaping them, because they’re present at every cinema. You know who I’m talking about: the noisy, obnoxious bunch who’ll whisper and talk and take phone calls all throughout the movie. It’s a huge stinker on the whole movie-watching experience, and many cinemas agree–including the Prince Charles Cinema over at London.

In fact, they find rude moviegoers so annoying that they decided to go all out and hire movie ninjas to shush these people up. You read that right, folks: ninjas. Well, not real, authentic ninjas per se, but they’re certainly dressed the part. They’re probably just ushers dressed in black, skintight bodysuits that lets them move across the theater stealthily. You probably won’t even notice them if you’re not one of the offending parties like moviegoer Abdul Stagg, who recounted his experience:

I normally hate noisy people in cinemas, but I got a call from my friend just as the movie started and thought I could get away with taking it. The last thing I expected was two completely blacked-out people suddenly appearing by our seats and give me and my mates a warning to shut up. It was actually pretty terrifying at first, but then I realised it was a bit of a laugh and a great way to make it clear what I was doing was having an impact on those around me. It certainly made me hang up and shut up for the rest of the film.

OhGizmo! Review: Experiencing D-Box Motion Code Theater Seats

By Robert French

It was Harry Potter 7 which was the chosen movie to watch with friends the other night and we came across the option to upgrade our seats.  Usually we choose to take higher priced tickets in 3-D or Digital for better viewing, but to upgrade our seats was unheard of,  made me think I was checking in at the airport with the hostess trying to upgrade me which I usually refuse.  This was different, the D-Box Motion Code theater seats were readily available to enjoy movement during the movie and feel the action come to life. We couldn’t say no to trying this technology for the first time.

When I first arrived to the theater salon there were a limited amount of D-Box seats available. I sat on the seat allocated from the number printed on my ticket and it activated immediately with motion to tell me the seat is on.  During the trailers and advertisements before the movie, there was a 30 second tutorial, explaining what to expect.
