Aetho Aeon Steadycam Will Make Your GoPro Videos As Smooth As Butter

Everyone and the mailman is taking action videos these days. One thing most of them have in common however is how shaky they tend to be. The Aetho Aeon aims to fix that by providing you with a fairly high-tech stabilizer for your GoPro. It features a 3-axis gimbal powered by brushless motors, a 32 bit Cortex processor, and an accelerometer making 1,000 measurements per second, which all combine to keep the camera completely steady. There’s a viewfinder LCD and a joystick to help you point the camera right where you want it, as well as an accessory mount. The battery is good for 5 hours of use on a 2 hour charge, and the kit weighs all of 1.1lbs (500g).

It’s a pretty fancy way to stabilize your videos, and considering the amount of tech, we’re surprised the asking price is only a $349 pledge to their fully-funded IndieGogo campaign, with shipping in Q1 2016.

Do Want – Collapsible Video Stabilizer for Any Smart Phone, and GoPro Cameras [Updated]

Screen Shot 2014-03-19 at 9.36.58 PM

Recording hand-held video with your cell phone while trying to maintain a smooth and steady shot can sometimes be challenging. And if you’ve ever tried doing GoPro videos using only your hands – you know how tough it can be to avoid jittery video.

A new video stabilizer called the StayblCam aims to solve those problems once and for all. It takes away the hassle and ‘clunkiness’ often associated with existing stabilizers and adds a new twist – a collapsible telescope design that the developer claims will produce very steady video for your iPhone or compact camera, even at ground level. This might be as close as you will get to having a steadicam for your GoPro (or iPhone for that matter), without worrying about counterbalancing weights or adjusting any screws or rails.

The StayblCam looks like it could become a hit among vloggers, amateur videographers, or even just the average guy or gal like you and me – looking for ways to improve their video quality on a budget. We’re told the StayblCam will be going into production in the not too distant future, for an undisclosed price.
