If you’re looking for an affordable pair of headphones with great quality, look no further.
Wicked Audio Reverb Headphones has amazing audio quality for a low price, and can handle a good amount of sound without being so loud as to bother Joe schmoe sitting next to you. Surprisingly, this quality doesn’t come at a terribly high price, as it only sets you back about 20 bucks, and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
These headphones are covered in street style graffiti and come in red, blue, and white color schemes. Inside the box, you’ll find an initial four-foot cord on the headphones, and an additional six feet of extension with a fourth-inch audio adapter. With a frequency ranging from twenty to twenty thousand hertz and thirty-two ohm impedance.

Fallout 3 was easily one of my favorite games from 2008, with it’s open sandbox style of gameplay and post-apocalyptic goodness. I’m going to guess that if you’re reading this review of Fallout: New Vegas, you’ve probably played Fallout 3. If you haven’t, and you’re even considering the newer title, you need to go back and pick that one up. Sure, you can play New Vegas and have a great time, but you’ll appreciate this one much better by playing them in order.
With that said, it’s hard to classify Fallout: New Vegas as a direct sequel. Aside from being set in the same post-apocalyptic time period, the stories really have nothing to do with each other. The game is also built on the same engine as the last, so the graphics and gameplay mechanics are very similar. Now is that such a bad thing? If you enjoyed Fallout 3, then I’d definitely say no.

I have been waiting to play Vanquish ever since I saw the trailer for it online. I downloaded the demo and decided that I had to have the game. Ever since we got it in here at the office I have been playing it nonstop. I finally broke away from the screen to write up a review for Sega’s Vanquish, so here is that review.

They’re menacing. They’re falling apart, and they’re hungry. They’re the living dead, and Fortune City is crawling with them. In Capcom’s newest release in the zombie eradicating series, Dead Rising 2, players follow Chuck Greene, who tries to prove his innocence before the military arrives to free survivors from a safe house after a zombie outbreak. Here’s our review of this blood-filled sequel.

If you’re an artist that enjoys working on the digital side of things, there’s a good chance that you’ve encountered a Wacom tablet of some sort. Since most of my work is done with a pencil or pen anyway, transitioning to a tablet was a natural step. I’ve been using them off and on for the last 6 years or so. The most difficult barrier to get over is always the disconnect one feels when drawing on one surface, while seeing their work on another. Of course, that’s what the Cintiq line is for.
The Cintiq line is Wacom’s own brand of LCD monitor, which also happens to be a fully-functional drawing tablet. Since it’s introduction years ago, digital artists everywhere (myself included) have drooled over the idea of using one. Recently I was able to spend a few weeks with the latest Wacom Cintiq 21UX.

My life is generally pretty hectic between class, work and all the things in between and I sometimes like to take the stress volume down a notch or two with my trusty Les Paul Custom. The problem is it’s generally 3am or later by the time I have a chance to sit down and do such a thing, so cranking up a Marshall full-stack to 11 is not an option. That’s why when Peavey’s AmpKit LiNK, a portable electric guitar interface for the iPhone, came across our desks a few weeks ago I was immediately interested (and by interested I mean I went running around the office with a replica Highlander sword shouting “There can be only one… reviewer.”).
The AmpKit experience begins with the free AmpKit app (or it’s feature packed paid version AmpKit+) from the iTunes App Store. The application itself is very sleek, the primary interface is a virtual view of the amp head/cabinet, microphone and effects that you currently have set, giving you a good overview of all your settings. The interface also provides a number of preset configurations, a metronome and tuner, and an interface for recording clips and transferring them wirelessly to your PC or Mac.

If you’re a tech-savvy consumer, it’s not hard to find ways to get your favorite music into your car without relying on FM radio stations. MP3 players are generally the most popular, but you’ve also got satellite radio, HD radio and other options as well. However, if you’re terrified of technology and have no desire to install new hardware into your vehicle, your selections are limited. That’s where the Carmen by Livio comes in.
The Carmen is designed to be a very simple way to get the music you want into your car, without all of the hassle. The idea is simple, you plug in the device to your computer, select a music genre and start capturing music from one of over 42,000 stations streaming online. Once you’ve captured your fill of audio, you take the device to your car and plug it in. Tune your radio to the proper frequency, and your music plays. The question is whether or not it lives up to those expectations.

Over this past weekend I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Metroid: Other M to try out for the Nintendo Wii. Now I have loved the Metroid series since I first picked up Super Metroid years ago. There’s just something about Samus that makes me feel invigorated whenever I pick up the controller and this game is no exception. Needless to say that when I saw the copy I received I wigged out in joy. But enough of my blubbering, let’s get on to the review!
In Metroid: Other M we find Samus intercepting a distress signal, Codenamed: Baby’s Cry, from a dormant “Bottle Ship”. The game takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, which is perfect for me. Other M opens up with a cinematic displaying the violent final battle between Samus and Mother Brain at the end of Super Metroid. After escaping Planet Zebes, Samus finds herself waking up on a Galactic Federation ship on what looks like an operation table, surrounded by scientists. After she leaves the ship is when she receives the distress signal that leads her to the setting of the new title.

When it comes to living room seating, most people go for the usual pieces of furniture. These generally being a couch, loveseat, recliner and/or some other type of chair. Sure, couches are great because they seat multiple people, and allow for sleeping when needed. Recliners are nice if you want to lay back and watch TV without having to lie on your side the whole time. However, there is one piece of unconventional furniture that can do all of these things. That’s right, I’m talking about a bean bag.
There’s a chance that you had a bean bag when you were younger. They were great for sitting in front of the TV while watching movies or playing video games. Unfortunately, most such pieces of furniture never really lasted all that long. Over time the little beans lose their shape and the whole thing begins to fall, until your favorite seat is the most uncomfortable one in the house. Well in case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new bean bag out there, one not actually filled with tiny beans at all.
Sumo has actually been making their bean bag chairs for several years now, so I wouldn’t exactly call them new. However, they’re still interesting enough to warrant a review. They shipped us over one of their ‘SumoSac Couple’ chairs, which I have been lounging on for a couple of weeks now. Luckily I needn’t get out of it to write this piece.
