Self Defense Night Stand Provides All-Around Bedside Protection

Self Defense Night Stand

It’s important to have protection by your bedside. Not that kind of protection, in case that’s what you’re thinking. What I mean is protection for physical attacks from burglars who want to rob you dry when you’re at your most defenseless. You could get a gun, a stun gun, or stock up your bedside drawer with pepper spray.

Or you can skip the bullets and go for brute force with the Self Defense Night Stand. It’s a bedside table where the base is actually a baseball bat, and where the flat surface is actually a shield. It’s a regular old bedside table the rest of the time when all is well and good.

The way I see it, this dual-purpose table is like a cross between a novelty and something that you can actually use. While the shield might be sufficient when your attacker is only armed with a knife, you might need more than just wood to defend against a gun.

Folding Helmet Just As Protective As Bulkier Alternative

By David Ponce

The Overade cycling helmet was designed back in 2010, but it’s going to be made this year. Envisioned by Agency 360, this helmet simply folds into what appears to be half its size when not in use. Easier to store and allegedly has the same protective attributes as the regular non-folding stuff. Strangely, it looks more like a construction hat when unfolded…

Anyway, there’s no word on price or details of its construction.

Tricked Out Unbrella Protects From More Than The Rain

By David Ponce

Here there you incognito maniac you. Looking for a little protection from more than just the elements? How about this umbrella, so dangerous it can’t even be shipped to California, Massachusetts or New York? While it works just fine as a regular water protector (albeit one with a metal knuckle guard as a handle), simply give it a little twist and you can pull out a 15 inch blade that should be enough to scare off but the most determined of assailants. Like the ones with guns. Then you’re screwed.

Still, for $30, there are worse things money can buy. Let us just be adults and say: don’t be an idiot with this.
