A Welcoming Prank: 50 Dollar Bill Welcome Doormat

50 Dollar Door Mat

Now isn’t this is a welcome sight for anyone who comes wandering to your front door: a 50 dollar bill on the welcome mat, ripe for the picking. They’ll quickly realize they’ve been had the moment they bend down to pluck the bill off the mat. That’s because the hyper-realistic fifty dollar bill is imprinted right on the doormat itself, so the fact that it’s fake isn’t obvious until their face is a few inches away.

You won’t make new friends with this doormat out there, but you’ll be able to have a laugh or two at the expense of your older friends. The 50 Dollar Bill Welcome doormat retails for $24.

Damnit, Expelliarmus: ‘Harry Potter’ Dementor Prank

Remember those soul-sucking creatures from Harry Potter that can seal your fate with a single, fatal kiss? If you’re a fan of the franchise, then you probably do. Two dudes decided to have a little fun with the character by bringing it to life. Save for a hooded black robe and a dude who does a good impression of being possessed, the duo don’t have any props but their little prank was still a roaring success. I almost feel bad for all the people they scared…well, almost.

Half of them probably didn’t get the Harry Potter reference but seeing such strangeness right before your very eyes might be enough to freak an average person out. I know I probably would’ve been, too. Check it out!

Cruel Joke: Sinister Ghost Pepper Gummy Bears

Ghost Pepper Gummy Bears

Some practical jokes are funny, while others are just plain mean. These Evil Hot Gummi Bears are somewhere in the middle, although it mostly depends on who you’re pranking and how they take it as well. They look like typical gummy bears, save for the fact that they’re flavored with Naga chili peppers that’ll burn your tongue and set your insides on fire.

Hand them off to unsuspecting victims or chew a couple ones yourself if you’re up to the challenge. The Evil Hot Gummi Bears are available online for £5.99 (about $10.)

bed-through-roof-wakeup-prank

The morning after a night of partying is the worst. Most people take a while to recover before they come to their senses when they’re hungover, but Japanese comedian Toshiaki Kasuga had no choice but to awaken from his drunken stupor immediately. People from the prank show purposely got him drunk the night before and strapped him into the bed in preparation for the prank.

Not only was he suddenly exposed to bright fireworks and the great outdoors, but his rude awakening comprised of him being strapped onto a bed and flung out fifty meters through the roof at the base of Mt. Fuji!

Hit the break for a clip of the prank in its entirety!

Tricks Done Right: Flying R/C Quadcopter Ghost with Glowing Eyes

October is the month when pranksters let loose, where almost everyone becomes a victim of their sometimes funny and often scary pranks and practical jokes. Taking things one step further is Alton Porter. He built a flying remote-controlled ghost that has glowing eyes that definitely adds to the scare factor.

Alton’s probably having a few laughs right now as he flies his R/C ghost around for a test run before unleashing it onto unsuspecting trick-or-treaters come October 31st. If you know him personally or live in the same neighborhood, you might want to avoid his house if you don’t want the living daylights scared out of you or your kid…or not, because in hindsight, that’s what makes Halloween fun in the first place.

Hilarious: Improv Everywhere Recreates ‘You Shall Not Pass!’ Scene from LOTR

Remember that epic moment from the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring movie where Gandalf stands in front of the Balrog and delivers the forceful line that was eventually turned into a meme: “You shall not pass!” It was powerful moment and it changed the course of the events to come.

This being one of the most easily recognizable scenes from the series, Improv Everywhere set out to make people experience it in real life by recreating it in one episdode of their “Movies in Real Life” series. The result is pretty hilarious.

Go On, Be Annoying: Infinite Text-in-Progress Prank for iOS 7

Text in Progress Icon Prank

You know how you’re texting with someone, and it’s just taking forever for them to respond? It especially sucks when you’ve just asked a question you’re dying to know the answer to. It almost seems like those little dots on the text-in-progress icon are mocking you… Well, I hate to break it to you, but if you’ve been staring at that message thread for an hour and the icon indicated that the person on the other end is still typing, then I think you’ve just been pranked.

How? With this clever animated GIF that pranksters Miscellaneous Mischief have made available here: Infinite Text-In-Progress. The site hosts the GIF that looks like the legit one for the iPhone, and all people have to do is download that and send it to their victim of choice.

Now that you know, the only thing left to do is return the favor (but those people will probably catch on pretty fast, since they already know about it) and pass it on (but have some pity and compassion, and don’t do it to the elderly.)

They Walk Among Us: Prank Shows Jedi Using the Force to Open Elevator Doors

The force is with this Jedi, and he likes using his powers to make elevator doors re-open just as they’re sliding shut. You might dismiss it as an odd but amusing coincidence the first time it happens, but when it happens three more times, then you know something’s up. Either this dude really has telekinetic powers or he’s got someone on the outside..

I think it’s pretty clear which of these options is true.

The Star Wars-themed prank was thought up by the JesterLads at King’s College London. It’s pretty hilarious and you can easily replicate it if you want to pull the same prank on other people.
