Poke Ball Serving Bowl Set

jgpo_poke_ball_serving_bowl_set

Pokemon is all the rage these days, but will it still be relevant in a few months? Is the rage even as ragey as it was when it was first released? We can’t answer those questions, we don’t know, but we do wonder if you’ll still be as infatuated with this Poke Bowl Serving Set once you’re done catching pocket monsters.

The Poké Ball Serving Bowls come with two dishwasher safe halves of the classic ball used in the Poké-verse. The red top and white bottom can slot together and will equal the approximate size of a volleyball. Sure, that is more than adequate space for your pet hamster to roll around in while you pretend it’s a Pokémon, but that might count as hamster abuse so don’t do it. Instead, fill it with tasty snacks. Preferably the cheesy variety.

Tee hee… hamsters are funny. Anyway, if you want your own Pokemon-themed serving set, you’ll have to spend all of $20.

Pokemon Pokeball Weed Grinder

pokeweed

So this looks like the sort of item you better buy now, because we can hear the lawyers writing their Cease & Desist letters already. It’s a Pokeball, but you won’t catch any pocket monster with it. Instead, you’ll use it to grind up your fine botanicals and put yourself in the mood to spend all day playing that game. It’s not as if you’re not already doing that, of course, but you know… you might as well take it to an extreme and Pokemon errthing.

It’s $22.

DIY Pokedex Cover Helps with Pokemon Go Battery

pokedex

The following article is brought to you by The Tech Info Group. -Ed

Pokemon Go has swept the world into a “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” frenzy during the last several weeks since its thundering debut. And while it’s sent intrepid fans out into the streets to hunt down errant Pikachus and Bulbasaurs, it has also been a huge drain on the battery life of all our phones.

That’s where Sparkfun user Nick Poole comes in. Recognizing the weight that the app was putting on his phone – using its built-in GPS constantly, sucking up all his mobile data, and keeping his LCD display on at all hours as it constantly rendered a new map with new features – he has come to the world’s rescue.

Using 3D printing technology, Poole developed a phone case modeled on the classic Kanto-era Pokedex. Bright red in color and featuring red, yellow, and green LED lights, the case is an absolute essential for any Pokemon trainer out there.

For The Die Hard Fans: A Pokemon Engagement Ring

A2-325x325_Fotor_Collage

So I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a little out of touch on the whole Pokemon thing. Do people still play this stuff? Is it, like, a thing now? Because we’re thinking it would have to be for some jeweller somewhere to think it worth his while to develop a Pokemon Engagement ring. And to be so passionate about its description.

Somewhere in our bedrooms was a small pile of dead AA batteries from the sleepless nights with our faces glowing in the screen of capturing all of the existing 150 little evolving creatures we pit in a fight to the faint. Nowadays the batteries are built into all electronic devices and the 150 has been upped to a zillion billion. Nothing says “I Choose You” like our Trainer’s Band.

The engagement ring has a twisted shank with a row of created green gems showing our good health at the beginning of a battle, the other row of created topaz stones shows our experience. All variations of this ring has a Created Ruby and Cubic Zirconium cut in half to create the symmetrical design in the center. Our Genuine Gems options have Authentic Peridot and Authentic Aquamarine “AA” quality.

Prices start at $197 for the cubic zirconium versions and going up to $849 for real gems.

Pokeball Engagement Ring: Gotta Catch the ‘One’

Pokemon Engagement Ring

I’m sure there are a number of fitting proposals that would go along great with this Pokeball engagement ring by jeweler Arts & Gems. Too bad it’s just a conceptual design, because I’m sure there are a lot of guys out there who would want to catch the “one” with a creative and geeky ring like this.

The engagement ring has a twisted shank with created green gems showing our good health at the beginning of a battle. There is also a wedding band to complete the set with created topaz stones showing our experience. Engagement ring has a Created Ruby and Cubic Zirconium cut in half to create a symmetrical design in the center.

I especially like the twisted shank part, because it injects a fun vibe to the ring that seems in keeping with what it was inspired after in the first place.Continue Reading

Pokeball Bra: Gotta Keep ‘Em All In

Pokemon Bra

I don’t think you’ll be catching much of anything with these Pokeball bras unless you’re planning to wear just the bra (and nothing more) out in public. Of course, you’ll be getting a lot of attention and catching the eye of many, but it’ll probably be from the type of people you wouldn’t want it from.

These bras are crafted by Etsy seller Neon Wonderland and are geared for the true-blue Poke-fan. It won’t matter if you’re gifted or not in the chest area, because you can specify the padding level you want the brassiere to have when you place your order. Each Pokeball bra is encrusted in hundreds of rhinestones that will sparkle and shine with every move that you make.

They’re priced at $70 each.

PETA vs. Pokemon: Gee, I Wonder Who’ll End Up Black and Blue

PETA vs Pokemon

I have nothing against PETA. In fact, I support them for taking such a strong and passionate stand against animal abuse. I know a lot of people disapprove of their shock-value tactics, but hey, they’re free to do whatever they feel works for them. But I think the line has to be drawn somewhere, and I think it has to be drawn here with their new campaign against Pokemon.

Apparently, PETA thinks the Pokemon are being held against their will in Unova and they insist that the time these fictional creatures stay locked in their pokebolls is ‘akin to how elephants are chained up in train carts.’ I don’t approve of circuses keeping animals in captivity just to make them perform, but somehow this Pokemon campaign makes me think that PETA is running out of ways to get their message across the right and sensible way. They’ve released a parody game called ‘Pokemon Black and Blue’ to spearhead their campaign, which you can check out and play after the break.
