Pixelated Sunglasses: Through 8-Bit Lenses

Deal With It Pixelated Sunglasses

So the world won’t be transformed to pixels when you’ve got this pair of pixelated sunglasses on, but it does look like it came straight from one of those 8-bit video games. These novelty specs will shield your eyes from the rays of the bright summer sun and give you a low-res look in this high-resolution world.

The Deal With It Pixelated sunglasses are available for €22.90 (about $30).

Hadu-Coins: Street Fighter Ryu Money Box

Street Fighter Ryu Money Box

Collect spare change and make a pledge to save at least a dollar a day the fun way with the Street Fighter Ryu Money Box. It’s basically the coolest piggy bank–or is that Ryu-bank?–that features a pixelated Ryu from Street Fighter doing what he does best. Ryu’s actually in mid-Haduken but I’m sure he won’t mind if you interrupt him to put a few quarters in.

The Ryu money box is 11 centimeters tall and it would definitely look awesome on your bedside table or wherever you decide to put it. It’s available from Fancy for $16.

8-Bit Treasure Chest Holds Your Jewels, Baubles, and More

legendary-8-bit-treasure-chest-with-light-sound-xl

You don’t have to be a gamer to appreciate the uniqueness of this treasure box. The exterior features an 8-bit design reminiscent of chests you’d commonly see in video games. But what makes it extra special are the special effects that it comes with. When it’s opened, the chest lights up and plays a familiar treasure-finding tune that you’ve probably already heard (again, from in-game video game sound effects.)

If you’re looking for a discrete container for your jewelry, then this is not it. But if you’re looking for something fun to hold your cufflinks and other small items, then you might want to grab one or two of these.

The 8-Bit Treasure Chest with LEDs and Sound is available online for $29.99.

This Will Make You Cry Pixel Tears: ‘Finding Nemo’ Retold in 8-Bit

Admit it. Finding Nemo made you laugh a little, get mad a little, and even cry a little at the end. If you grew up in an overprotected environment, then you might even be able to relate with little Nemo himself. Now you can relive the entire story in just under two minutes thanks to CineFix, who just released their pixel-riffic version of Finding Nemo. It’s amazing what their team can do, as this is just one of the many movies that they’ve condensed and subjected to 8-bit animation under the 8-Bit Cinema series.

This particular one was written and animated by David Dutton, set in music by Henry Dutton.

We Wish You a Pixelated Christmas and a Happy New Year!

8-Bit Christmas Stocking

It’s officially thirty-two more days before Christmas! Already, I hear malls playing Christmas carols in the background while salespeople walk around in Santa hats showing off presents that you might want to buy for yourself or for someone else.

Christmas starts at home and I think there’s no such thing as breaking out the Christmas decorations too early. But how about geeking up your decor this year by tacking up this 8-Bit Christmas Stocking beside all your other regular Christmas stockings? They’re pixelated all over and even have buttons from a retro gaming controller printed on top–perfect for the gamer in the family (or perfect for you.)

They’re available online for $9.99.
